What Makes the Mazda 3 a Good Pre-owned buy?

The Mazda 3 is a very popular subcompact sedan or hatchback that is capable of appealing to a wide audience due to its practicality, its sportiness, and its tech. All of these reasons also explain why the Mazda 3 makes a great pre-owned vehicle.

A choice of two practical models

The Mazda 3 has been offered in either a sedan or a five-door hatchback since the model was created almost 20 years ago. This means that buyers on the pre-owned market have more choices than with many competitors in order to find the Mazda 3 that best fits their needs. Unsurprisingly, the hatchback model is more practical than the sedan due to its higher roofline at the rear which creates more space for luggage. This is evident when looking at the capacity of the cargo compartment of the two versions since the sedan can hold up to 374 litres while the hatchback can hold up to 569 litres with the rear seat up. The difference is even more evident with models of the previous generation, sold until 2018 since the sedan could hold 351 litres and the hatchback could hold 572 litres.

The most fun-to-drive option in its segment

The Mazda 3 is known to be one of, if not the most fun-to-drive subcompact cars on the market and this is also true for the pre-owned models. This is because the priority of the product development teams at Mazda is always to make a vehicle that is engaging to drive. This is achieved via the tuning of the suspension and steering systems as well as the engines and the transmissions. The Mazda 3 has always been offered with a choice of an automatic or manual transmission and for many years, two or three different engines have been on the menu.

Many impressive features

Choosing a pre-owned Mazda 3 can be an inexpensive way to get to experience the features and the quality of a premium vehicle. This is more true in vehicles from the current generation, which began in 2019 since they adopt a more luxurious appearance and feel, in addition to offering many luxury features not found in other vehicles in this class, such as the AWD system, a turbocharged engine, a white leather interior or the Bose sound system.
