The new 2019 Mazda3 can be equipped with all-wheel-drive for the ultimate in 4-season driving fun

Unfortunately, the pleasure of driving is slowly taking a backseat to sometimes invasive active safety features and autonomous driving technology. While we at Mazda are invested in these technologies in order to best serve all our customers, we still firmly believe that driving remains one of the greatest freedoms we have.

This is why we’ve engineered the latest generation of our compact Mazda3 sedan and Mazda3 Sport hatchback to be as intuitive to drive as possible. We’ve tuned the chassis to do more than simply provide heart-pounding handling. The goal with the new 2019 Mazda3 was to deliver unmatched levels of comfort and pure driving pleasure.

But we didn’t stop here. We have also included our latest version of G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) which stabilizes the car’s behavior for more precise handling and braking. And then, we took it one step further. For the first time ever in a Mazda3, we offer an available all-wheel-drive system as option.

Our i-Activ AWD uses numerous sensors to predict changing road conditions in order for the system to react immediately. Our AWD system works in all driving situations, be it dry pavement, rain or, should you decide to head North for a weekend of skiing, snow.

Front-wheel drive Mazda3 sedans and Sport are powered by a frugal 155-horsepower 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine or a powerful 186-horsepower 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine. You can select between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Opting for i-Activ AWD provides the 2.5-litre and 6-speed automatic as standard.

Before you head off on your road trip however, you will be taken aback by an interior that will give you the impression that it was made for you. Once again, the focus is on the drive as demonstrated by how all the main controls happen to fall immediately underhand. The seats will make you feel at home as you prepare for the upcoming drive.

Your passengers haven’t been left out, of course. The Mazda Connect infotainment system features a large and well thought out 8.8-inch display. The user interface has been revised and the updated system now requires fewer inputs for an optimized user experience.

The new Mazda3 is a premium entry in the compact car segment. One that is unmatched refinement-wise. We also happen to think that it is very attractive.
