Multiple Mazda vehicles on the IIHS best used vehicles for teens list

Is your teenager about to start driving and you are looking for the best possible vehicle for them? Are you concerned about the safety of the vehicle your teen will be driving and its reliability? The IIHS and Consumer Reports understand your questions and concerns, and they have recently compiled a list of the Best New and Used Vehicles for Teenagers.
The vehicles on this list offer both safety and dependability. The Insurance Institute for Highway safety created this list by combining their safety testing data and reliability and dependability data from Consumer Reports. The end result gives parents a comprehensive list of vehicles that are sure to provide peace of mind and tranquility.
In order to be on this list, a given vehicle has to have passed every IIHS safety test with the highest possible grades. It must also have an above average or better reliability rating based on Consumer Reports member surveys and it has to have above average scores from Consumer Reports emergency handling tests, dry braking distance tests, and more.
Mazda vehicles did particularly well on this test, with multiple pre-owned Mazda vehicles and new Mazda vehicles being recommended by the IIHS and Consumer Reports for teenagers.
In the pre-owned category, the Mazda3 sedan or hatchback from 2014 to 2019, the Mazda6 from 2014 to 2019 and the Mazda CX-3 from 2019 are all recommended as the best options in their segments for teenagers.
