Every 2021 Mazda Vehicle Receives Highest Safety Award

Safety is at the heart of Mazda’s priorities and the automaker has proven that yet again by receiving the highest possible safety marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for all of its vehicles. Yes, every single Mazda received the TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation from the IIHS.

To receive the highest safety rating from the IIHS, Mazda vehicles had to receive the highest grade in the six crash tests that include: moderate overlap front, driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. A Superior rating is also required in crash test prevention and headlight quality.

“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have every Mazda vehicle tested earn the coveted 2021 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. This accomplishment stems from our commitment to our owners,” said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Our customers have come to expect Mazda’s dedication to providing advanced safety technologies paired with dynamic styling, which give them a confident and more enjoyable driving experience.”
